Tanushree Dutta, who propelled the #MeToo movement in India by speaking up about her sexual harassment at the hands of prominent actor Nana Patekar on the set of a movie in 2008, has now joined the raging discussion on Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely demise. In a long Instagram live session with her followers, Tanushree stated that the Mumbai Police cannot be trusted in doing a 'fair and impartial investigation' into the late actor's death case. Revealing the reasons behind her opinion, she said, 'They are usually too quick to dismiss such cases and close matters and are usually hand in glove with culprits themselves and politicians from the start.' Tanushree further added that the Mumbai Police calling people to record statements is an act 'to appease public sentiment because the matter is hot right now.' She said that she knows this to be true because she went through a similar situation with the Mumbai Police when she filed an FIR against Nana Patekar.
