Chirag Paswan condemns attack on Bihar migrants, asks for fair investigation

LJP President Chirag Paswan on March 06 held a press conference regarding the alleged attack on Bihar migrants in Tamil Nadu. During the press conference, he said, “We have been coming across the reports of Bihar migrants being identified and beaten since last few days. I don’t know the truth but we have been receiving such news, people call and narrate how they have been thrashed. Neither LJP (Ram Villas) nor me confirm the videos and photos that are getting viral but even if a single photo or video is true, I would condemn it. India is a country of diversity. People live in harmony here. This kind of discrimination is unacceptable. Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar specially mentioned this while framing the Constitution that we are all Indians first. People of any state can migrate to any state of the country to earn their livelihood. Now, even if these are fake news to create conflict between the states, investigation must be carried out. They must be identified and punished as well for spreading such fake rumours.”
