The Maharashtra government has now given permission to reopen religious and worship places in the state from Padwa. This is easing further in Unlock 6.0. The development comes after series of protests and criticism on the Uddhav Thackeray-led Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government from the Opposition BJP, and Raj Thackeray-led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena. "All religious places including temples will be allowed to open from Padwa," the Chief Minister announced. Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray on Saturday said the places of religious worship across the state, which were shut since the Covid-19 lockdown in March, will reopen from Monday. Thackeray said this in a statement.
