Maharashtra: Chemical factory burns in flames after fire breaks out in Gokul Shirgaon, no casualty reported

A major fire has broken out at a chemical factory in Gokul Shirgaon MIDC adjacent to Kolhapur city on Saturday noon. The entire company has gone down in flames and efforts are underway to bring control over the fire through 10 firefighting vehicles from KMC, Kolhapur airport and MIDC. Luckily no casualty has been reported so far in the incident. The cause of the fire is still not known. The fire broke out in Thermochem Unit Two of Ceraflux India Private Limited Company who are involved in manufacturing and designing of metallurgical products, foundry chemicals and consumables. According to primary information received from the employees of the company, the fire broke out in the company at around 3 pm and still has not been brought under control. The employees immediately came out after realizing that there was a fire in the company. There are problems in controlling the fire due to presence of chemical tanks in the company.
