Delhi: The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said India is actively engaging with BRICS nations to develop a common stance on the ongoing West Asia conflict. MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal noted that differences among BRICS members have made forging a consensus challenging. India, as BRICS chair, has been facilitating discussions through the Sherpa channel, with the last virtual meeting held on 12th March. Jaiswal added that India’s leadership continues to hold talks with BRICS countries to arrive at a unified position. The MEA stressed that despite divergent views, India remains committed to working closely with member nations to coordinate its diplomatic approach to the crisis.
