Visakhapatnam: Tributes paid to Kargil martyrs on Vijay Diwas

Tributes were paid to the martyrs of Kargil War at the Victory at Sea war memorial in Visakhapatnam. Chief of Eastern Naval Command Vice Admiral A K Jain, GVMC Commissioner Dr Srijana and Police Commissioner R K Meena along with other navy officials attended the ceremony and placed wreaths at the war memorial. Vijay Diwas is celebrated on 26 July each year to commemorate the successful conclusion of Operation Vijay to drive out Pakistani forces and irregular fighters from Kargil.
