Big relief for Asthana: Court accepts CBI's finding of no evidence against former special director

A CBI special court provided relief to former Special Director Rakesh Asthana as it took cognisance of the chargesheet that gave him a clean chit. The chargesheet states that the CBI said that no evidence was found against Rakesh Ashtana. Asthana had been removed from the CBI after a bribery and extortion case was lodged against him. He had alleged that all this was done by the then CBi director Alok Verma.
