Playing Sweetu in Yeu Kashi Tashi Me Nandayla

I never expected that such a big opportunity would come my way. Also, I am playing the role of Sweetu as a lead actress, and she is proving to everyone that a slim and toned body is not everything. A girl, who is thin, does not mean she is beautiful. I was so happy to play Sweetu on-screen because I got a role similar to what I am in real life. We have been seeing lead Marathi actresses with a fit and toned body but I broke the stereotype of a lead actress, and it is a huge responsibility for me.

On-screen chemistry with Shalva Kinjawdekar

Our chemistry is loving by the audience. The entire team of Yeu Kashi Tashi Me Nandayla is playing a huge role to make us look good and perfect on-screen. Shalva supports me too while performing together and I am glad we managed to win the audience's hearts in a short period. (PC - Instagram)

Entering television

I have done films and have also been a part of Maharashtrachi Hasya Jatra. I always like to experiment with my roles. In the films, there is planning and graph, and you have to work according to that. In TV serials, every day there is a new challenge to play a different shade of the same character. I never created any barrier for me and I have only decided to do good work. I will always go with the flow. I feel you have to keep working and there is nothing like a small role or big role. Everything is equal. (PC - Instagram)

Have been facing body-shaming since my childhood

I have gone through a lot since my childhood. I have been facing body-shaming since my childhood. People used to call me 'Fatty', and I feel 'Fatty' can never be a pet name. A few people told me, "don't eat much; otherwise, nobody will marry you. I got hurt a lot. People have spoken a lot about me, but I am winning the audience's hearts today. I am overwhelmed with my fan's love. The more they love me, the more I get motivated every day, and that matters more. (PC - Instagram)

Never got rejection in auditions

I luckily never got rejected when I used to go for auditions because my physique was my USP. I still get good offers but yes I am fortunate about it. (PC - Instagram)

"People think it's easy to become an actor, but no, it's not"

I often see people troll and post negative comments on social media, but I don't react to anything. I feel it's better to ignore them because I am trying my best and working hard every day. People think it's easy to become an actor, but no, it's not. Every day is a struggle and challenge, and I am honestly working hard and will always do. (PC - Instagram)
