Tuesday Trivia: Did you know Antarapata fame Jyoti Kiran once played Suji's character in Silli Lalli?
Actress Jyothi Kiran is definitely not a new face to the Kannada audience. The actress is currently seen playing a pivotal role in the daily soap 'Antarapata'.
However, but not many remember that the actress had earlier played a key role in a popular comedy show 'Silli Lalli'. Yes, Jyothi essayed the character 'Suji' alias 'Sujatha' in the comedy show. Suji had hearing issues. She would often cause trouble and was engaged to Palli (her neighbour) in the show.
Cute two ponytails, a nerdy glasses, and a hearing machine defined Suji's appearance. She would often play 'Hopstoch' along with her fiance and her dialogue from the show 'Am I right?' was extremely popular among the viewers. In fact, in the show, she was called "Jagathina ombattheneya adbutha" (World's ninth wonder) by Govinda (the compounder).
However, Jyothi took a long break post the show as she got married and shifted abroad. Years later, she made her acting comeback with the daily soap 'Nammane Yuvarani', where she essayed the character 'Shambhavi' in the show. Jyothi as Shambhavi won the hearts of the millions with her acting skills. Within a short span of time, the actress became joined the list of one of the most happening on-screen moms on Kannada TV.
Well on the other hand, currently, the actress is playing the role of a doting mother to the female protagonists in the family drama, 'Antarapata'. She essays the character 'Revathi', in the newly launched daily soap.
