Kavya Gowda family dispute: Brother-in-law Ravikumar shares his version; Blames property row
Post the actress’s detailed statement on the violent family dispute at her residence, Ravikumar, one of the accused in the case involving Kannada television actress Kavya Gowda, has now reacted and presented his version of events. Kavya Gowda, known for her roles in popular serials such as Radha Ramana and Gandhari, had earlier alleged that she and her husband Somashekar were assaulted by family members. She also accused Ravikumar of issuing serious threats during the altercation. A police case has since been registered, and the matter is currently under investigation.

Ravikumar Blames Property Dispute

Responding to the allegations, Ravikumar claimed that the root of the conflict lies in a long-standing property dispute rather than the accusations made by the actress. According to him, the family has been at odds for several years over ownership and living arrangements in a large house located in KR Puram. He stated that tensions escalated when Kavya Gowda allegedly demanded that certain family members vacate the house. Ravikumar claimed disagreements over shared space and property rights gradually turned into heated arguments.

Dispute Ongoing for Years, Says Ravikumar

Ravikumar said the issue did not arise suddenly and has been continuing for more than three years.
He also claimed that the house in question is valued at over ₹100 crore, making the dispute more complex. According to him, the altercation on January 26 involved multiple family members and was the result of accumulated frustration over the property issue. He denied the seriousness and intent of the allegations levelled against him, stating that the dispute has been misrepresented.See More: Actress Kavya Gowda breaks her silence on family clash: They tried to raise hand against my two-year old daughter and threatned to assault me

Conflicting Complaints Filed

He acknowledged that police complaints have been filed from both sides and said the matter should be seen as a family and property-related conflict rather than a personal attack. Ravikumar maintained that his daughter and other relatives were also part of the disagreement and that emotions ran high during the confrontation.

Police Investigation Continues

The case has attracted wide attention due to the involvement of a well-known television actress and the serious nature of the allegations. Police officials have confirmed that they are investigating the incident, examining evidence, and recording statements from all parties concerned. Further developments are expected as the probe continues.
