'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ January 23 written update: Vani returns to the Poddar house, family remains displeased

The latest episode starts with chaos as Surekha takes Manisha to the Poddar family home and confronts all of them about Kiara’s drug addiction. She tells them that they all hid the truth about Kiara’s problems.Surekha confronts the entire family and asks them why they hid the truth and kept blaming her for Kiara’s condition. Kaveri and Surekha argue about the matter, after which both Manisha and Kaveri opt to take Kiara’s responsibility. However, Kiara refuses to stay at the Poddars, sharing that she understands Surekha’s anger with her, as even Manisha had responded similarly after she found out the truth.Abhira and Maira talk about the competition and her recent actions. She tells her daughter that she understands her anger. Abhira explains to both Armaan and Maira that on the way to the boarding school, Vani had told her that she wanted to participate in the competition as it was her mother, Anita’s, dream. Abhira then tells Armaan that Vani will only stay until the competition is over, after which she will take her back to the boarding school.He asks her to talk to Maira about the matter later, and wonders how the family will react to finding out that Vani has returned for the time being. He tells them about Abhira’s decision, after which Sanjay, Vidya, and Kaveri blame her for neglecting Maira.When the competition results come out, it is revealed that both Maira and Vani have been selected. This prompts Vidya to ask Abhira about whom she will choose, Vani or her own daughter.The next episode promo shows Vani asking Abhira to dance with her for the competition, as she has no one else. Armaan steps in and says that he will dance with her, while Abhira can dance with Maira. Armaan then reminds Abhira that Vani has to go the moment the competition is over.
