TV actor Lakshya Lalwani is now a Dharma boy as Karan Johar made an announcement about his big break in Dostana 2. But did you know the actor is quite a known name in TV industry? As he is set to make his film debut, let’s take a look at his TV journey.

Lakshya’s original name is Laksh Lalwani. He had changed his name on social media and kept it as ‘Lakshya’ because he wanted to be known by his name and not surname. In an interaction with BT, Lakshya said, “One of my friends was not able to get a house on rent because of his surname. His plight made me think and I decided to stop using my surname, Lalwani. Lakshya, who has worked on TV in several daily soaps, was part of one of the costliest historical series, Porus. Speaking to BT last year, the actor had said, “Porus has been a big turning point in my career. I had never imagined that I would be so consumed by a role that I will even forget that I am Laksh. Lakshya and Mahima Makwana were the youngest on-screen pair in Adhuri Kahani Humari and both of them in the news for their differences on the sets. The actor was accused of being a trouble-maker on the sets and news were doing the rounds that he got slapped by a co-star. However, the actor cleared the air in an interview in 2016 saying, “The issue has been blown out of proportion. I didn't react when she excitedly applied colours on me during a media interaction at the Holi event as I realised it was unintentional on her part. But later when I applied colours on her face, she vigorously rubbed her hands on my face due to which my sunglasses fell off and the colours entered my eyes.
