Shubh Mangal Saavdhan actress Anshul Chauhan and cinematographer Ateet Singh to have a Delhi wedding in Nov

Shubh Mangal Saavdhan actress Anshul Chauhan and cinematographer Ateet Singh announced their engagement on social media last week. The two got engaged in Delhi last week and will tie the knot in the city in November.

Talking about how the two met, Anshul tells us, “I met him two years ago. We knew about each other for five years, but had never spoken. One night, I was at my friend’s place, and he came in. He loves dressing up and he was dressed, so I saw him and judged him. I always used to think that he was a spoiled brat until I spoke to him. That night was the first time we spoke to each other, and we just hit off."

Anshul shares, “He did not propose to me. I knew he liked me, and I also had feelings for him, so I told him shaadi karega tabhi I will take this forward. I did not want to fool around. In 2019, I asked him, 'Do you want to get married?' And without hesitation, he said yes. I said, ‘Okay, we’ll see where it goes because it is too early to say anything’."

Though she knew he was the one for her, Anshul shares that it was not easy to persuade her family. "Though he is also a Rajput, it took time to convince my family because it was sort of an arranged-love marriage setup. I considered this because he was a Rajput and I did not want to upset my parents. But for them, it was a new thing because they have not stepped out of Noida. Woh initial hiccups thay, but they trusted me and when they met his family, they were more than happy. They always wanted a family that would support my acting career and Ateet’s family is more than supportive,” Anshul says.

Anshul adds that Ateet is behind the camera while she is in front of it, and he has guided her a lot. “He guides me, he has changed me for my better and I know he is perfect for me,” says the actress.
