This week has been quite a saddening one owing to the demise of two of the industry’s legendary actors. Meanwhile, the controversial reality show Bigg Boss 15 has begun with its contestants making headlines already. Amid the ongoing trends surrounding BB, Shehnaaz Gill’s first outing post Sidharth’s demise for work, a few other actors grabbed attention too. Here’s a look at the all major happenings of the telly world:

The Salman Khan hosted controversial reality show, Bigg Boss 15 premiered on October 2. The show began with a bang as popular celebrities stepped in the BB house as participants of the season. The list of contestants include Karan Kundrra, Jay Bhanushali, Tejasswi Prakash, Donal Bisht, Simba Nagpal, Umar Riaz, Ieshaan Sehgaal, Pratik Sehajpal, Shamita Shetty, Afsana Khan, Akasa Singh, Miesha Iyer, Nishant Bhat, Sahil Shroff, Vishal Kotian and Vidhi Pandya. The premiere episode also saw the host welcome Ranveer Singh, who is all set to make his TV debut with The Big Picture.

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s Nattu kaka aka actor Ghanshyam Nayak breathed his last on October 3. The actor was battling cancer and was undergoing chemotherapy before he passed away. The entire cast and crew of the TV series were deeply affected by his demise. Actors, producers and others paid their last respects to the late actor. Dilip Joshi, Mandar Chandwadkar, Samay Shah, Bhavya Gandhi, Munmun Dutta and others reached his residence to attend the last rites too.

After Ghanshyam Nayak’s demise, veteran actor Arvind Trivedi, who essayed the role of Ravan in Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan, passed away on the night of October 5. The actor, who had not been keeping well since past some time, breathed his last after suffering a heart attack and multiple organ failure at the age of 82. His fellow actors from the mythological series remembered him post the demise and shared their memories of and with the actor, too.

After several celebrities from the film industry, Rakhi Sawant came out in support of Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan’s post his arrest in the drug bust case. The actress shared a video on Instagram and asked everyone to pray for Aryan Khan’s bail. “Guys, I am very sad. We all should pray for Aryan Khan's bail. I don't know what's the truth, what's false and who is trying to trap him. I just want to say, 'Agar aap log sher ho toh sher se ladho gidhad banke bache ka shikar mat karo',” Rakhi said in the video.

Fans of Sidharth Shukla were expecting the makers of Bigg Boss 15 to pay tribute to the late actor on the premiere night after his sudden demise on September 2. However, they were hurt to not witness anything such and took to Twitter to express their anger. Fans slammed the show, its makers and called it a flop show.

Shehnaaz Gill, who has been through a tough time owing to dear friend Sidharth Shukla’s demise, finally stepped out on October 7 to fulfil her work commitment. The actress, who had committed to doing the promotional song in her Punjabi film, 'Honsla Rakh' with Diljit Dosanjh, has resumed work now. Reports suggested that Shehnaaz left for the shoot of the film and travelled to an international location. Now, her co-star Diljit Dosanjh has shared a funny video featuring her on his Instagram handle too.

Bollywood superstar, Ranveer Singh is ready to make his TV debut with the visual quiz show The Big Picture. Recently, during the launch event of the show, the actor was asked about his wife Deepika Padukone’s reaction to his TV debut and then came his surprising reply. He shared, “Deepika always has constructive criticism for me, which I take very positively. I showed her my mock sessions, she gave some tips and raised some very good points. I noted those points and imbibed them. I am really grateful that I have a sharp wife as a partner, who enhances my work through her constructive criticism.”

Bigg Boss 15, which started on October 2 has already started grabbing attention with its over the top arguments, fights, remarks and more. In one week’s time of the contestants’ stay in the house, two of the celebrities i.e. Jay Bhanushali and Shamita Shetty fell prey to age-shaming. The former was age-shamed by Simba Nagpal who pointed out his age quite a few times during the week. Meanwhile, Karan Kundrra’s ‘aunty’ remark for Shamita Shetty was criticized a lot. Post his remark, Karan was slammed not only by the actress’ fans and viewers but many celebrities including Kushal Tandon, Neha Bhasin and Kashmera Shah rebuked him too.

Bigg Boss OTT fame and Kumkum Bhagya actor Zeeshan Khan finally made his relationship with fellow actress Reyhna Pandit official. Much to everyone's surprise, the actor took to his Instagram handle and shared a kiss picture with her. He wrote a long note revealing that the two are dating each other. Zeeshan opened up about his relationship in an interview with BT. When asked about the age gap between them, he said, “Age is just a number. When two people find what they are looking for in someone then all this doesn't matter. We did think about it but it never really made a difference. We are two people madly in love with each other and that is what that matters.”

Actress Madalsa Sharma, who essays the role of Kavya in Anupamaa, recently joined ETimes TV for an exclusive interview. She called the moment of being honoured with it as one of the most 'iconic moments of her life'.

Titliaan Warga singer Afsana Khan, who is currently seen in Bigg Boss 15 opened up about her 10 to 11 years of struggle. During a conversation with her co-contestants, Afsana revealed that she has seen a time when she had to think twice before buying a Rs 20 water bottle. She added that she used to survive on a packet of chips because she didn’t have enough money to buy a full meal.
