Shambhavi Singh on bringing emotional depth to Mr. & Mrs. Parshuram: Being part of a show that balances heart with adrenaline is creatively fulfilling
Actress Shambhavi Singh, who essays the role of Shalini in upcoming show Mr. & Mrs. Parshuram, describes the project as both special and creatively fulfilling. Sharing her experience of working with the channel and the show, Shambhavi explained that the story is not just about action, but focuses on more than the usual action-based plot.
“It honestly feels very special and exciting,” she says. “Mr. & Mrs. Parshuram is not just about action, it also talks about emotions, relationships, and everyday struggles. All this makes the show relatable for audiences of all age groups. Being part of a show that balances heart with adrenaline is creatively fulfilling, and I feel grateful to be associated with something that entertains while also touching people emotionally.”
Shambhavi also spoke about her character Shalini , who is the wife of Shivprasad. She says, “Shalini is strong yet gentle and grounded yet hopeful. She is someone who believes deeply in love, family, and honesty. Her strength doesn’t come from aggression; it comes from resilience, compassion, and emotional intelligence. She’s the kind of woman who holds everyone together quietly while still standing firmly for what she believes in.”
Elaborating on Shalini and Shivprasad’s relationship, she adds, “Their marriage is built on trust, simplicity, and genuine companionship. They’re not perfect, they have disagreements, fears, and vulnerabilities but what makes them special is how they choose each other every day. Their bond feels real because it reflects everyday relationships where love grows through understanding, sacrifice, and shared dreams.”
Addressing the layered performance required for the role, Shambhavi notes, “It’s actually one of the most interesting challenges because as an actor, I know everything, but Shalini doesn’t. I constantly have to live in her emotional truth, reacting only to what she sees and feels. That innocence, trust, and emotional safety she has with Shivprasad makes her journey even more layered and beautiful.”
