Shalin Bhanot, who recently opened up about his life and painful divorce, slammed a paparazzi page for spreading rumours that he is planning to remarry his ex-wife,
Dalljiet Kaur. The actor recently attended the screening of the Bollywood film Main Vaapas Aaunga, after which a paparazzi page shared a video of him with the caption, "Shalin Bhanot decided to re-marry with his 1st wife."
Should paparazzi be more responsible in their reporting?
In no time, the post went viral and sparked rumours about Shalin getting back together with his ex-wife. However, Shalin has now strongly reacted to the rumours and hit back at the paparazzi page for spreading wrong information.
Responding to the video, he commented on the post, "This is absolutely FALSE and completely fabricated news." The actor made it clear that there was no truth to the rumours and criticised the page for publishing unverified information about his personal life."
He also expressed his disappointed, "As a media page, you have a professional responsibility to verify facts before spreading absolute lies about someone's personal life just for views."
Shalin stressed that media platforms should check facts before posting sensational stories, as they can create confusion and affect the lives of those involved.
Apart from denying the rumours, Shalin asked the page to take down the post and warned of legal consequences for not complying.
He called out the paparazzi account, Shalin wrote, "Delete this post immediately and issue an official apology post on your page for spreading misinformation. Consider this a warning—failing to comply will leave me with no choice but to initiate strict
legal action against you and your company (sic)."
Many of Shalin's fans and social media users extended the support for the actor in the comment section. A user wrote, "Right bro...in logo ko sabak sikhana chahiye tabhi sudhrenge." Another fan commented, "big fan of yours from Nach Baliye time you are absolutely right this is very wrong, take strict action against them to teach lesson."
For the uninitiated, Shalin Bhanot and Dalljiet Kaur got married in 2009. The couple later welcomed their son, Jaydon, in 2014. However, they started facing issues in their marriage. In 2015, Dalljiet filed for divorce, alleging domestic violence and cruelty against Shalin. He, however, denied the accusations.
On the work front, Shalin was recently seen in Laughter Chefs season 3 where he replaced Sudesh Lehri in an episode. He was also seen in the web show, Inspector Avinash which also stars Randeep Hooda.
