Rumi Khan: I’m manifesting more work opportunities this year
Actor Rumi Khan, known for his work in television shows such as Mahabharat, Ishq Ka Rang Safed, Sher-e-Punjab: Maharaja Ranjit Singh, Uttaran, Veera and Alibaba: Dastaan-E-Kabul, looks back at 2025 as a year of mixed emotions but steady growth.
“I feel 2025 was well enough for me,” he says. “I got opportunities to work across films, television and streaming platforms. My comeback to TV with Chakravarti Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan was special, even though the journey was short.”
The actor, who was also seen in films like Pathaan, Gadar 2, Ek Haseena Thi Ek Deewana Tha and Section 108, reflects on life beyond work. “If I look back, the year had its ups and downs. It made me realise that every day is a fresh start. With every sunrise, there’s a new chapter waiting to be written.”
Looking ahead, Rumi is optimistic. “For 2026, I’m manifesting more opportunities to entertain my audience and play something new, fresh and promising. I’m excited about the future,” he shares, adding that he’s keen to evolve. “I want to try comedy, reality shows, and also explore heroic roles. I love playing negative characters, and I’ll always be open to them, but I want to experiment more.”
As the year ends, family takes priority. “Instead of parties or vacations, I want to spend the last few days with my parents. Because of work, I wasn’t around much. With time, you understand how important it is to be there. For me, family always comes first.”
