Rohit Shaarma bags key role in Mr & Mrs Parshuram
Actor Rohit Shaarma, last seen in Kumkum Bhagya, is set to return to television in a new avatar. He has been roped in to play a negative character in upcoming show Mr & Mrs Parshuram. Rohit will be seen as Sankalp, a layered antagonist with shades of manipulation and intelligence. Talking about his role, the actor said Sankalp is “a very interesting negative character with different layers and complexity,” adding that he is “one of the crucial and reliable people in the Dixit family… cunning, smart, manipulative and someone who knows how to execute plans and manage situations smoothly if anything goes wrong.”
Sharing his excitement about the project, Rohit revealed that shooting began on January 7. “With God’s blessing, 2026 started on a high note as I started shooting for it from 7th January. I’m really excited for the show and grateful to Snehasish Chakraborty sir for believing in me and giving me the opportunity and responsibility to pull off such an important role after going through my auditions and previous work,” he said. The actor, who played the positive character Karthik in Kumkum Bhagya, sees this as a refreshing shift. “Last show Kumkum Bhagya I was playing Karthik, a positive guy, so it’s a good change to be back to playing negative on screen as I find it really challenging and fun,” he added.
Rohit Sharma has previously featured in popular TV shows such as Kumkum Bhagya, Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2, Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki and Sadda Haq.
