Popular TV anchor and DJ Nikhil Chinapa has shared a stark glimpse of Delhi’s worsening air quality. The television personality took to social media in the early hours to show how dense smog and fog had taken over the capital, raising serious concerns about visibility and flight safety.
Nikhil Chinapa documents Delhi’s smog-filled night
Nikhil took Instagram to share a video from the streets of Delhi. It was around 2:15 a.m. He revealed that he had a flight to Goa scheduled for 5:30 a.m. but was unsure if it would take off. Capturing the thick haze around him, he said, “It’s 2:15 in the morning in Delhi, and we are supposed to fly to Goa at 5:30 in the morning, and we are not sure if the plane would take off or not.”

He then pointed the camera toward the car’s headlights, which struggled to cut through the smog. As someone in the background shouted, “It won’t,” Nikhil laughed and replied, “We will see.” He captioned the post, “Delhi weather. Not sure if we’ll make it to Goa. Let’s see.”
Later, after reaching the airport, he posted more updates. In one story, he wrote, “Trying to find the plane.” Soon after, he shared a picture of the aircraft and added, “There we go.”
