On the occasion of Mother's Day today, here are some popular characters from our TV shows over the years, who audiences have loved. These onscreen mothers have received a lot of love and appreciation for their performances. From Tulsi Virani to Anupama, from Akshara to Ishita Bhalla, these characters will always hold a special place in the audience's heart.

Rupali Ganguly plays the role of Anupama in the show Anupamaa. She's a mother and even if her life has gone through changes, her love and support for her kids remains as strong as ever. She's also a fighter and is an inspiration for her children.

Tulsi from the show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi played by Smriti Irani is one character that's etched in people's minds forever. While Tulsi loved her family, she never covered up for their mistakes. In fact when her son raped his own wife, she shot him. It reminded the audiences of the film Mother India.
