Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi: Noina tries to stop Mihir–Tulsi’s engagement
The episode unfolded with a major announcement from Babji, who granted Mihir three months to arrange the repayment and finalize wedding preparations. Babji’s happiness was obvious, while Noina struggled to conceal her irritation, viewing Tulsi’s role in the positive change as a reason to rejoice.
Gaurav quickly intervened and instructed Babji to conduct the wedding after the three-month period and do the engagement as soon as possible. Babji consulted with Tulsi, but Mihir reminded him that they were to leave for the exhibition the next day. Gaurav again suggested that the engagement be carried out right away, and Mihir stressed to Babji that Hemant and Sahil had to be informed.
When Mihir spoke to Hemant, the head of the family assured them that he heartily supported the proposal. He told Tulsi that he valued her over everyone and that she should move forward without the slightest hesitation. Babji was delighted with the fact that Hemant supported their decision and thus saw the Viranis’ character.
With Hemant’s blessing, Gaurav encouraged Mihir and Tulsi to move ahead. But Noina was becoming increasingly irate, especially since Suchi noticed that Mihir was drawn to Tulsi more than he was earlier.
Noina then questioned Tulsi. Rather than being glad about the engagement, she appeared upset with Mihir and told Tulsi that she should not feel compelled either. Proposing that the engagement between Tulsi and Mihir should be called off, she told her that she did not want Tulsi to suffer.
Gayatri interrupted, warning Tulsi that withdrawing now would result in wasting precious time and thereby disrupting the stability of Shantiniketan. Noina rebuked Gayatri not to meddle in this, but Tulsi encouraged her to speak.
Gayatri thanked Tulsi, whereas Noina said that Tulsi was not her rival anymore and she was really sad for her. Noina, being curious, questioned Gayatri on why she was so concerned about someone who was not even staying with them anymore, as Tulsi warned Noina not to disrespect their elders.
On the other hand, Dev started dreaming of becoming wealthy so that he could order Parth around. Then came Noina’s turn to advise Dev not to get engaged yet. Dev was not interested in her advice at all because he was looking forward to receiving gifts from everyone, especially from Babji.
When Noina asked him to consult his parents, he refused, saying that he didn’t care what others had to say. Noina urged Dev continuously, but he was resolute in not giving in to her pleas.
Babji started the engagement ceremonies despite Noina’s objections. Tulsi began the ceremony by giving tilak to Saloni and marking her forehead with the coconut, which was required in the ritual. Parul applied tilak to Dev and gifted him an expensive present.
Mitali got another chance to mock Ritik, but he paid no heed to it. When she also started complaining, Pari and Shobha asked her to stop the unnecessary drama.
At last, the couple exchanged rings while the others showered them with rose petals. Kanta Ben enthusiastically suggested that next time Parul should make a large ring for Saloni. In return, Dev proudly accepted a large diamond ring.
