With the partial lockdown restrictions imposed, the working style of the television shows have been altered. Many actors have opposed the idea of this lockdown and other news about actors quitting the industry, testing positive for COVID-19 have dominated the television industry, let's take a look at the top news of this week:

Sayantani Ghosh hosted an interactive session on Instagram where a user asked her bra size. The actress gave a befitting reply by asking the user's IQ size in return. Later, she penned a note about body shaming, and how it is not okay to let others judge women for their body size or type. She also revealed that she too has been at the receiving end of the pervert gazes at her boobs by men, but she kept quiet back then. Through her post, Sayantani encouraged women to speak up and accept their body as it is and love it.

Kavita Kaushik had made a controversial exit from the reality show, Bigg Boss 14. A fan recently told her that she shouldn't have walked away in that manner. The fan wrote, "You should not have done big boss I donno if its just me but it did lot of harm to imagine . I am ur fan and wish you all the best things in life." Kavita replied to the user by tweeting, "Its ok, like they say once you've spoilt your "image" you are free! Now I don't give a fu€k about the hate or the love of those who judge someone on a fake reality show."

British-Indian actor Jason Shah is dating Anusha Dandekar. He admitted their relationship while talking to TOI, he said, "I have known Anusha and her sister Shibani for a very long time now, but I got to know Anusha closely just a few weeks back. She is gorgeous, extremely kind and a free spirit who believes in living life in the moment. I love that about her. We have been dating for a while and life has been beautiful with her."

Cezanne Khan, known as Anurag Basu from Kasautii Zindagii Kay, is returning to television with the show, Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki. He will be seen as Harman Singh - the character earlier played by Vivian D'sena. A source informed, "After the deal with Vivian fell through, we have now finalised Cezanne to play Harman on Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki. The show is all set to introduce a major twist and a giant leap, and Cezanne will join Rubina to do the needful. The decision to bring in the original lead pair is to breathe new life into the show. The makers are still working on his character and his track."

Indira Krishnan, who played the role of the protagonist Preesha's character, has quit the show. The actress felt like a prop on the show and stated, "I was constantly in touch with the creative team and told them how unhappy I was with my track. It made no sense for me to drive all the way to Naigaon to be shown just standing or sitting in a corner. I did that for a couple of months, but it kept getting worse. Though I am the heroine’s mother, I have no involvement or interaction in the scenes. I was being underutilised. Initially, I shot for 18-22 days in a month. It was then reduced to 15 days and eventually, to five days in March. I was just being called for functions and celebrations. There was nothing left for me to do in the show. A lot of times, I was made to feel like a prop. In fact, I was told by the team ki ‘ Aaj aapke dialogues nahi hain’. It is demeaning for a seasoned actor like me. So, after much deliberation, I decided to quit the show and put in my papers yesterday."

JD Majethia, the Chairman of the Indian Films and Television Producers Council (IFTPC), met with the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Uddhav Thackerey and concluded that TV shootings won't happen on the weekend. In an interview with ETimes TV, he said, "The shooting for TV shows, daily soaps won't happen on Saturday and Sunday because of complete lockdown. As per state Government's norm the production house have been informed and they have started working on their scripts accordingly. They will manage for this week and most people will have a bank of episodes. From next week, we will have to see how things will happen. We have to look at the bigger picture, we were about to enter another phase of lockdown but that has not happened."

Karan Patel, Nakuul Mehta and Rakhi Sawant are opposing the new lockdown restrictions. Karan and Nakuul debated that the politicians, actors, cricketers are getting to work but it is the common man who can't go to work and have to suffer. Rakhi, on the other hand, said, she can't sit at home and will dance her way out to keep herself occupied.

Bigg Boss contestant Armaan Kohli's younger brother Rajnish (44) passed away due to his medical condition. The deceased actor was reportedly physically disabled and due to unexpected health problems, he breathed his last on Wednesday, April 7.

Karan Kundrra is all set to enter the daily soap, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai as Ranveer. He will be shown as Sirat's former lover, whose entry will create a havoc in Kartik and Sirat's life. The promo of the show has already garnered million eyeballs.

Roadies contestant Saqib Khan has quit showbiz. The actor decided to take the religious path and follow the path shown by the almighty as he called him to be the best "planner". He wrote in his post, "Today’s post is regarding announcement as i am quitting the SHOWBIZZ. So i won’t be doing any modelling and Acting in future. Aisa nahi hai ki kaam nahi tha mere paas or i gave up !! I had good projects in line. Bus Allah ki marzi nahi thi. Zarur kuch achaa aur behtar Allah ne soncha hoga mere liye. Insha Allah HE is the best Planner. As far as i have seen the struggle in Mumbai, it’s very difficult to survive but i can proudly say that within short span of one year i achieved a good Fame and Fan following. But wo toh Duniya k lye aur Aakhirat (life after death) k lye toh kuch bhi nahi.In nutshell i was going Astray (gumrah) and was going against my tenants of Islam. I used to offer Namaz but something was lacking and that was Sukoon & my accountability towards Allah. So now I totally surrendering before Allah SWT. Wo Sukoon jiski mujhe talaash thi wo toh mere samnay tha, meri kitaab mai (our holy Book i.e, Quran). I sincerely apologise to people whom I have hurt intentionally or unintentionally."

Kapil Sharma revealed that he has named his baby boy, Trishaan. Neeti Mohan had dropped birthday wishes for Kapil on his birthday and asked for his newborn's name, that's when the comedian revealed the name. Kapil is married to Ginni Chatrath and have a one year old baby girl, named Anayra.

Kishwer Merchant was trolled and bullied for questioning Kangana Ranaut, why she did not wear a mask. Kishwer was instead called out names and judged for her portrayal in Bigg Boss 6. Kishwer was also accused of bullying Kangana instead. Kishwer said in a video, "I questioned Kangana why she did not wear a mask. So her fans are messaging me and saying that she has won four national awards, first you go, win and come at least 1 award. Guys, the point here is not whether she's a good actor or not. Everybody knows that she is a fantastic actor and she must have won whatever awards but where is her mask?"

In an exclusive interview with ETimes TV, Himanshi Khurana said, "Asim has just started working full fledged and it is the time for him to grow and excel. So right now we are not thinking about marriage. I am also working round the clock and have some amazing offers. Getting married means we will have to give time to each other. Currently, we are working in different industries, the mindset is very different. Our upbringing, religion, he’s in Mumbai so everything is different. We don’t want to rush and mess up things. Marriage is a big commitment. We don't want to get married in haste and then later on our relationship becomes a joke for others. We want to be prepared for it and want it to happen at the right time. It will be a mature decision."
