Kessar Kansara: I’m living my father’s dream of becoming an actor

Child actor Kessar Kansara, currently seen as Niya in Lakshmi Niwas, says acting is more than just a profession for her family—it is an emotional dream being fulfilled. “It was my grandfather’s dream that my father should become an actor, but for some reason he couldn’t fulfil it,” she shares. “Now, with all the efforts and support my parents are putting into me, I’m pursuing that dream. I’m sure one day my family will feel very proud and happy.”

Talking about her role in the show, Kessar says she enjoys being part of the emotional storyline. “I’m playing Niya, and the story revolves around Veer and Radhika, played by Raghav Tiwari and Akshita Mudgal, who take care of me after my father’s death in the show,” she says. “It’s a very interesting role, and I share a great bond with everyone on set. I really enjoy shooting with them.”

Balancing studies and shoots at such a young age can be demanding, but Kessar says she has strong support around her. “I’m currently in Lower Kindergarten. My mom and teachers help me study, and I also learn a lot on the sets. I’m enjoying playing, learning, and being behind the camera,” she says.

Kessar reveals that acting entered her life naturally through commercials and brand shoots. “Since a very young age, I’ve been shooting for brands and featured in many commercials. Then I started getting calls for TV auditions, and acting happened,” she shares. Despite her young age, she has already appeared in shows like Dhaakad Beera, Aami Dakini, Maati Se Bandhi Dor, and Prem Leela, along with the music video Natkhat Deva.
