Actress Isha Kaloya, currently seen as Amrit in the TV show Jhalee, spoke about Christmas with a quiet sense of reflection while spending the festival away from home.
“Christmas has always felt personal to me,” she said. “As a child, I genuinely believed Santa Claus visited our house. I would wake up and find gifts near me, sometimes under my pillow, and I was convinced Santa had come just for me.”
Now based in Mumbai, the actor admitted the distance feels real during festivals. “My family is in Amritsar, and I miss them—especially the small traditions and the way they surprised me with gifts,” she shared. “That part never really changes.”
Throwback to 2024's Christmas: Celebs Celebration And Cozy Vibes
This year, however, marks a first. “Tomorrow, 26th December 2025, will be my first Christmas in Mumbai. I’m actually looking forward to experiencing it differently. I’ll go to church, offer my prayers, and just be present in the moment. I hope everyone finds their own quiet joy this Christmas."
The actress, who was earlier a familiar face in Punjabi television with Heer Tey Tedhi Kheer, said the shift to Hindi television has been steady. “Every phase teaches you something new,” she said. Her film work includes a role in Sardar Udham, an experience she calls “grounding.”
