Singing since the age of 4
Neha Kakkar was just about 3 or 4 when she started to sing at jagrans with her siblings Sonu and Tony Kakkar. Neha had no formal training in music when she began. Till 16, she performed at several jagrans which helped her family financially.
Indian Idol audition
The popular singer participated in the second season of popular singing reality show Indian Idol but got eliminated early on. However, the show gave her immense fame and memories. It also helped things change for the better for her.
Getting fame through Bollywood songs
Neha didn't give up and tried her luck in Bollywood. She rose to fame with the song Second Hand Jawani, and then her career touched new heights with chartbusters like Sunny Sunny, Saki Saki, Dilbar, Kaala Chashma, Aankh Maarey which became viral in no time. And that Room also was not our own, we were paying rent.
