Exclusive - Bigg Boss 14's Kavita Kaushik: Eijaz Khan is playing a victim card; he doesn't need a friend, but 'chamchas'

Bigg Boss 14's Kavita Kaushik, who recently got evicted from the reality show, slammed Eijaz Khan for playing a victim card on the show and fooling the audience. In an exclusive conversation with ETimes TV, the actress said that Eijaz did not want a friend but chamchas. She further adds that she is very happy that a day after her eviction, Eijaz's real side has been exposed. Kavita said the Indian audience is so gullible that instead of believing her, they bought the victim card played by Eijaz Khan. She also lashed out at celebrities who criticised her during her fight with Eijaz and stated that by taking her name they were having their two minutes of fame. The actress regrets not realising the good side of Rubina Dilaik. (Photo: Instagram)

People did not understand my intention behind what I was saying they just picked up one line

See there is no need to be disappointed as the show is such. It is not a web series, film or a TV show which you have made with a lot of passion and the audience did not like it. Before stepping into a show like Bigg Boss, we prepare ourselves that only 45 minutes from the entire 24 hours will be telecast. It's not necessary that when you get angry on someone the entire footage will be shown. It happens when your point of view is not shown. We know that to keep the audience engaged, evoke emotions in them and keep them hooked to the show many times certain fights or quarrels or the truth behind a fight is not shown. So, I am not at all disappointed. I am happy that I've learnt an important life lesson because of the show. People did not understand my intention behind what I was saying they just picked up one line lockdown mein khana khilaya and started reacting. I was not saying that during the lockdown he did not have food to eat and I was providing him that. I have always said that he is a senior actor, he is a bigger star than me, he has done many shows as the main lead, I did only one show as a main lead. He was once the blue eyed boy of Ekta Kapoor's production house. I was not saying that he was needy, what I was trying to say was he is a single person and like all of us even he went through a bad phase. He felt lonely like we all did and even though I was not his friend, just because he asked me a favour, I did. I have only met him thrice in my career in 20 years. I was not his friend but still I did a favour because he is a senior actor of our industry. Nobody understood our view point and they just stuck to that one point that I was talking about feeding him food during the lockdown. (Photo: Instagram)

Eijaz's nature of playing the victim card and using people for his own benefit is getting exposed

I am very happy that Eijaz's nature of playing the victim card and using people for his own benefit got exposed the moment I came out of the house. He likes to portray himself in such a way that he has a few chamchas around him. I thought his real side would take some time to come out but the moment I came out, the very next day he got exposed. Bigg Boss 14 did not show the reasons which made me see his real side. I have been telling everyone that you don't become friends just because you party with someone, exchange messages on social media or work for a day or two. If you want to know the real side of someone, you will have to spend some moments with them to understand how they behave in stress or what makes them happy. I have been working in this industry for 20 years now and I have known everyone from my generation. My career started with Hiten Tejwani and Gauri Pradhan. I worked with Hiten ji for one and a half years and he is a gentleman. As a newcomer he gave me a lot of advice and we had lunch also many times, but I can't call him a friend. He is a great colleague and a wonderful senior to work with. But when you step on the stage and someone calls you his close friend, you are not left with an option other than respecting that person's opinion. You don't start fighting in front of the host Salman Khan. (Photo: Instagram)

I refused Eijaz's offer of me being his puppet

When I entered the show, the same night he started gossiping and complaining about all the contestants with me. He started telling me that you have become a captain now, please get me out of the red zone. So, even though I was not his friend I started taking that burden just because I had accepted on national television that I was his friend. Also, Rubina had nominated me the moment I entered and I misunderstood her. I felt she was not respecting a senior colleague. I found her snooty and I based my judgement on that and it was my mistake. I pampered Eijaz so much. Be it colouring his hair or sitting with him while he would have his food. He would just roam around and try to figure out who he can use for his game. I was observing his behaviour all the while. Then when he became the captain, he said Kavita, you keep an eye on everyone and just inform me who is breaking the rule. I immediately refused saying that I can't be your puppet. I don't like this idea of you being the Guru and me being the chela. There are many such things that happened which were not shown on the show. (Photo: Instagram)

I am laughing on the former contestants and celebrities who have trolled me

I feel bad for the Indian audience that they did not even try to figure out what was the real reason behind my outburst. They did not even try to understand what my intentions were. This shows that as a country we are so gullible that anyone can make a fool of us by shedding tears and playing the victim card. I am not even bothered about the audience as I understand that they just believe what they are seeing and they do not know the actual story. But I am laughing on the former contestants and celebrities who have trolled me. These people talk so much about kindness and be kind but they forget that they are the same people who click pictures and post on Instagram if they even once distribute food to the needy. They are celebrities, they know their power and many of them are former contestants, they know how the show works, they have gone ahead and trolled me without understanding the situation. I am just laughing at what they will say now when Eijaz's real side is now getting exposed where he is being nasty to people and using them for his benefit. I think there can't be a bigger slap than this because they very well knew the format of the show, but they still went on to take the audience off track. (Photo: Instagram)

People were trying to get two minutes fame by using my name

I was not hurt, in fact I was shocked to see the reactions. I felt why didn't none of them used their brain. I was not hurt at all because I know there are no friends, all of it is for Instagram and social media. Everyone is just trying to build in their image and make a fool of the audience. Secondly, these are the same people who click 20 photos and post it everywhere when they do charity. They are the same people who don't even know the name of their building watchman, they don't even have the time to reply when the watchman's greet them. Their only aim in life is to wear designer clothes, wear makeup and look like a doll. They are only bothered about that. They are all fake from head to toe and everything is fake about them. I always feel truth never fails and it happened in my case also. Eijaz Khan's real face has been exposed. How he is playing the victim card, using people and the girl who was so attached to him Pavitra ran behind him to beat him up. So, all the people who were acting smart and trying to take the two minutes of fame now know Eijaz's real face. (Photo: Instagram)

I am unaffected with all of the trolling

See, we all know that fights, linkups work in the show's favour and that is what is shown. That is why we are paid well to survive in these intense circumstances. So, we can't be upset now if my entertaining moments did not go on-air. It is up to them what they want to show from 24 hours. I can't fight after coming out. People are watching the funny moments online and having fun and that is the winning moment for me. People like pulling each other down. Contemporaries also do the same, they want to express themselves without even knowing the full matter or the truth. Everyone has mobile in their hand today please go ahead and create a negative atmosphere. I am unaffected with all of this. (Photo: Instagram)

Happy that I bonded with Rubina and Jasmin

I am happy that I was able to see Rubina's good side. Rubina and Jasmin both stay in my building but I did not get a chance to interact with them before. Now, when they come out I will definitely catch up with them. I am looking forward to it. (Photo: Instagram)

I felt like a fool that I was taken for granted for my goodness

I followed all the rules of the house and did all the work which was given to me. Because I belong to a family where my father would get a call in the midnight for help and he would go for his duty. I realised with Eijaz's behaviour that he wanted me to be his chamcha. He would continuously tell me that don't talk rudely to me in front of everyone and would try to direct me. I was already annoyed with this. There was a point when I asked him to leave me alone. He still followed me and again repeated the same thing. He told me don't talk to me in that tone. That's when I lost my cool and the fight took place. I realised that he was playing a game and he did not want a friend in the house but a chamcha. Ultimately, I realised that there is a huge difference in using someone and to actually need someone, that when I felt used. I felt like a fool that I was taken for granted for my goodness. Trolls don't pay my bills

Whatever I have achieved in my life has been because of my hard work and talent. So, the people who genuinely love me will understand why I did everything. The truth is in front of them on television. The people who don't love me are not running my house, or they have even helped me in the last 20 years of my career. It is not that because they respected me I was able to pay my bills, I did everything because of my hard work and will continue doing it in future also. I did a show called Bhanumati On Duty and nobody watched it. The show did not even run for two months, nobody watched that show. There is nothing about love and respect, everything depends on talent, hard work and when you do a good job people will watch it. If you are right nobody will be able to malign your image. You can blame, put allegations but that person will ultimately come out as a winner and this is what is my strength. These small incidents can never run me down. I don't get scared of such incidents. Would not like to see Eijaz Khan ever again

I would not like to see Eijaz Khan ever after the show. Once again I am clearing on record that I don't know Eijaz Khan and he is not my friend. He is an extremely aggressive person, so tomorrow if he harms someone I should not be blamed. I have no connection with him. (Photo: Instagram)
