Bigg Boss 19's Malti Chahar reacts to link-up rumours with Amaal Mallik; says 'I had no relationship or any kind of ‘ship’'
Actress-director Malti Chahar entered the Bigg Boss 19 house as a wildcard contestant. During her stint, she was linked to fellow contestant Armaan Malik after both revealed that they knew each other even before the show. However, as the link-up rumours are not dying down even after the show, Malti Chahar has finally decided to address the speculations.
Malti dismissed the link-up rumours with music composer Amaal Mallik and called the speculations a manufactured narrative.
Malti took to X, formerly called Twitter, where she clarified that there was never any relationship or “ship” between the two.
She wrote: “Let’s clear this once and for all. Amaal and I had no relationship or any kind of “ship.” He asked for my number, and we met only once. We talked and shared some personal information. After that, we were in touch over the phone. That’s it! there was nothing else between us.”
Malti went on to share that on the controversial reality show “Bigg Boss 19”, which was hosted by superstar Salman Khan, when she said “bahar ki baat nahi karenge We won’t talk about things from outside (the house)”, she meant that she would not share his personal information.
Malti shared that she was upset by certain remarks made by Amaal Mallik. She stated that she felt the comments were disrespectful, and learned about them only after she stepped out of the Bigg Boss house.
She wrote, “It was disrespectful of Amaal to create a narrative on the show suggesting that I was trying to impress him and to make derogatory remarks about me, something I saw only after coming out of the BB house."
Malti added that she was empathetic and mindful of Amaal on the show, especially since he had openly spoken about his mental health several times. “Yes, he mentioned his mental health a few times, both before and during the show. I was empathetic and tried to help in the moment so he wouldn’t have more regrets later. Now, I’m the one regretting it. That’s all. Spare me now. Please don’t associate my name with his. Thanks," she concluded.
Malti Chahar, who entered the show as a wildcard, managed to reach Top 6 of the show. She was appreciated for her straightforward gameplay.
