Anupamaa's Gaurav Khanna working on New Year's eve to Sudhanshu Pandey celebrating at home due to Omicron scare: here's how celebs' will usher New Year

As we all bid adieu to the year 2021, the cast of Anupamaa and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is excited to welcome 2022 with much enthusiasm. However, before that they have shared with us their New Year's Eve plans and resolutions: Read on:

"We are welcoming 2022 at home with a few friends and that's the best way to celebrate because with the Omicron virus surge in the country and especially in our city, I would definitely not take a chance to call too many people at home or go outside at all. It's for the safety of everybody else and ourselves. And we have to be responsible because we are shooting every day. So just a few friends at home, and we will listen to some good music and have good food and make sure that we plan for a great 2022. And my new New Year resolution is nothing but to become a better and wiser human being because I don't have any vices as such that I need to make some resolution. But yes, I'm looking forward to making 2022 one of the best years till now."

"I am going to have a nice, quiet and relaxed celebration with my family at home. My resolution for the New Year is to take more care of myself and my body. I will try to live more carefree yet take all precautions and take more responsibility for my health and the people around me. I will also start doing a little but regular Yoga."

"I am a workaholic and I will be working on the last day of the year as well. But I would like to come back home early to my family, to my wife, because she likes to have a lot of fun and party. I'm a workaholic and I love working and she likes to party, so if I can do both on that day, it would be absolutely fantastic. I don't make New Year resolutions because I just like to go with the flow. I, of course, have a direction in life, but then I like to go with the flow and I like to see where the flow takes me because it's more organic and it's more surprising that way rather than just making a name and just going by it. So I'm pretty happy going with the flow and things are really worked out."

"I am planning to celebrate the 31st of December with my friends and family. We are going for a small outing and then back to shooting in the New Year, which is going to be fun again and I am really looking forward to it. My New Year resolution is to keep myself positive, eat healthy, add more patience to my life, spread kindness and try to be more compassionate towards everyone."

"Seeing the rise in the number of COVID cases, I am not planning any celebration. I will be following COVID protocols and will avoid going out. And since I am shooting on December 31st, I will end the year with a quiet dinner with my husband. My New Year resolution is just to be happy and healthy and make others happy and healthy. While saying goodbye to 2021, I am praying to god to erase the word pandemic from our life and our dictionary. Wishing you all a very Happy New Year."

"I like to spend the new year's transition at home with family and friends. I want to welcome 2022 with a cheerful hello and a request that the crisis the world is going through comes to an end. My New Year's resolution is to stick to my routine and regime now that I am short on time."

"We are working on Dec 31st and Jan 1st, and I think the best way to start the new year is by working. Saal ka aakhri din aur saal ke pehle din kaam karne ka maza hi kuch aur hota hai. And at night I think I will be spending time with my family and friends. Pajama party, a romantic movie night in your pajamas with pizza by your side. I think that's the best plan (laughs). I'll welcome 2022 with my whole heart, a lot of expectations and gratitude. As for resolution, I want to hit the gym (laughs) and start drinking a lot of water. I want to make memories. Live my life (laughs)."

"I don't have concrete plans as such, but would definitely want it to be a working New Year's Eve. I have always loved having a working New Year's Eve and since I am a part of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, this year I would surely want that. I want to welcome 2022 with a lot of positivity, love, good wishes, health and safety for everyone and for me. I would love to work in the day and spend time with family in the evening. I don't make resolutions. I am happy the way I am and how things have shaped up for me. The future, I'd like it to always surprise me because that's the fun of life."

"It looks like this time I'll be shooting till late on the 31st and then driving down to Pune to bring in the new year with some close friends. I'll welcome 2022 with a lot of hope and high expectations. These last couple of years have been pretty tough for everyone. But I'm sure humanity has emerged stronger after the pandemic. My resolution is to live wholeheartedly in the present moment."

"I have a very interesting plan called "pata nahin". I will mostly be shooting on Dec 31. I'll be dancing into 2022. My New Year's resolution is to help people who are in genuine need."

"I got a message from the show's SP to not keep any plans, so we are shooting both days. That's precisely how I would love to usher into the new year - working. I am yet to retrospect in the year gone by. I will make a list of all the good things I want to retain and bad things I want to discard."
