Altamash Faraz shares how winning a men's personality pageant became the biggest turning point in his career: 'It Really Paved The Way'

Altamash Faraz has found his footing in the industry with a mix of interesting and strong roles that don’t really fit into one box. He was studying law in his Delhi days and later got into pageants by chance and that changed everything for him. From pageants he shifted towards TV and OTT. It hasn’t been a straight or quick journey for him, more of a gradual one where each project added something new and helped him grow a bit more as an actor.

Looking back at his journey, Altamash says one moment completely changed the direction of his life and career. Speaking about the biggest turning point, HE shared that winning the title of Mr India played a life-changing role in his journey. He said, “I would say the biggest turning point in my career growth would be winning the title of Mr India. When I came to the pageants, and I won the title of Mr India, I think that really exposed me to the entire industry.”

Before entering the pageant world, Altamash was working as a lawyer in Delhi while also doing theatre on the side. He explained, “I was a guy who was a lawyer back in Delhi, and I was doing theatres as a way of personality development and hobby. I had a lot of inclination towards this performing arts and acting field, but I had no clue how to enter and how to just make my way through.”

Winning Mr India, according to him, became the bridge between his passion and profession. It opened doors, introduced him to the industry, and helped him connect with the right people. Altamash added, “I think that really paved the way for me because it exposed me to a lot of people. It helped me build a network and brought a lot of opportunities my way. So it was one of the biggest turning points for me.”

Since then, he has continued to grow with every project. “After that, project after project, I’ve just been trying to prove myself, my craft. Every project has been a turning point in some way because you keep getting better opportunities and keep improving as an actor,” he concluded.
