Akshay Kumar shares a powerful take on Wheel of Fortune: Every student should learn martial arts
On Wheel of Fortune , host Akshay Kumar brought energy and inspiration to the episode while interacting with contestants Lekha, Madhur, and Hitavachana .
During her conversation with host Akshay Kumar, Lekha shared that she is trained in martial arts and is also learning boxing. As soon as Akshay learnt about it, he praised Lekha dedication to self-discipline and fitness.
While appreciating her hard work, Akshay said, "You have learnt martial arts, aap boxing seekh rahi hain, aapke paas discipline hai. Dekhiye yeh sab jo cheezein hain na, main kai baar bolta hoon ki humare desh mein ek compulsory rule aa jaaye, every student should go through martial arts. Mujhe achha lagta hai jab koi kehta hai ki woh self-defence seekh rahe hain.”
He added that martial arts are not only about physical strength, as they help people cultivate discipline, confidence, as well as a feeling of security. This moment was indeed impressive, as Akshay Kumar emphasized the need to be disciplined, fit, as well as to know self-defence. This episode was not only exciting but also meaningful.
Akshay, who earlier hosted stunt-based show “Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi” (2008-2011) and judged “MasterChef India” (2010), recently told PTI that TV can unite family audiences and he is hoping his new show will foster this connection.
“Over the years, iconic television formats and their hosts haven’t just entertained, they have built trust, brought generations together, and created moments where families sit together, play along and celebrate wins as one. For me, ‘Wheel of Fortune’ feels like coming home to that family audience, the kind that gathers after a long day to unwind together,” he told PTI.
Wheel of Fortune is being hosted by Akshay Kumar and will start from January 27. The game show is based on the format of the hit American television show by the same name.
