Comedy Nights with Kapil: Few must know that Kapil Sharma's celebrated show on Colors Comedy Nights with Kapil is an unofficial adaptation of the British show The Kumars at No. 42, complete with a libidinous grandmother, an unmarried aunt, a dangerously fat neighbour and a nagging wife. While a chunk of the show is solo stand-ups and sketches between the characters, at least a third usually involves interaction with members of the audience, who happily line up for their public flogging. Kapil Sharma had never openly talked about the adaptation.

24 : 24 is the Indian remake of the popular US thriller series of the same name. Anil Kapoor plays the lead role of an Anti-Terrorist Unit agent, who has to thwart anti-national activities. The show follows the real-time format, where every episode shows one hour in the agent's life. Delhi Belly director Abhinay Deo directed the series, while noted director Rensil D'Silva wrote the series. 24 was Anil Kapoor's maiden show on the small screen and it featured many renowned personalities from the TV and Bollywood world. It is also reported that post the success of the first season, Anil Kapoor is all geared up to come up with a season 2 of the series, where veteran actors like Jeetendra and Rishi Kapoor are likely to be part of.

The Bachelorette India: Life OK's The Bachelorette India, Mere Khayalon Ki Mallika is a desi version of a popular US reality dating game show by Warner Brothers’, The Bachelorette America. The makers (SOL Productions) officially adapted the fomat of the show with a slight change in it. The channel chose Bollywood's sexy siren Mallika Sherawat to feature in it. Mallika very smartly made it clear to the media that she is just in search of true love and needs a companion, she never promised to get married or engaged on the show which made the actress' life simpler.

India's Got Talent follows the global Got Talent format, in which contestants audition in front of three judges and a studio audience. The Suite Life of Karan & Kabir: An adaptation of Disney’s 'The Suite Life of Zack and Cody', the show was set in the Raj Mahal Hotel in Mumbai and revolved around Karan and Kabir, the trouble-making twins who live in the hotel. The series' other main characters include the candy counter girl Vinnie, daughter of the owner of the hotel Rani, the boys' mother Preeti, who is an assistant manager and the hotel's manager Mr. Maan Singh. The original show was set in the Tipton Hotel in Boston and centered around Zack Martin and Cody Martin.

The two girls are poles apart in bearing, outlook and disposition.

Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi: This popular show on Sony TV was an adaptation of an American comedy-drama 'Ugly Betty'. The show was about a middle class girl named Jasmeet Walia (Mona Singh), shortened to Jassi. Because she was such an ugly duckling, no one would hire her despite her impeccable credentials. Armaan Suri (Apurva Agnihotri), the chairman of Gulmoher (a fashion house) gave her a chance and hired her. Jassi was grateful for that, and was loyal to Armaan until the end. Jassi became more and more important in Gulmohar, going from a secretary to an assistant, to owning a company.
