About Cho Oyu
Cho Oyu or Chomolungma is one stunning mountain set in the Himalayas on the border between Tibet and Nepal. It is the sixth-highest peak in the world standing at an impressive elevation of 8188 m (26,864 ft) above sea level. Cho Oyu is renowned for its breathtaking beauty and challenging climbing routes, making it a popular destination for mountaineers and adventure enthusiasts.The name Cho Oyu is derived from Tibetan words, where Cho means turquoise and Oyu means the goddess. That’s why the mountain's nickname is Turquoise Goddess. In 1954, Cho Oyu was first successfully climbed by an Austrian expedition led by Herbert Tichy.
Climbing Season: The perfect climbing season for Cho Oyu is from April to May and late September to October.
About Shishapangma
Also spelled Xixabangma or Gosainthan, this mountain is in Tibet's autonomous region, close to the border of Nepal. The mountain sits at an astonishing altitude of 8027 m (26,335 ft) above sea level. In 1964. Shishapangma was successfully climbed by a Chinese expedition led by Xu Jing.
