Karnataka’s Kali Tiger Reserve opens a canopy walk

Karnataka’s Kali Tiger Reserve got its first canopy walk now, thus, making it impossible for travellers in Karnataka to not visit the destination. The eco-tourism destination, Kali Tiger Reserve, is located in the Uttara Kannada district. It is home to Bengal tigers, and black panthers.
The all new canopy is built between four large trees, and hangs at a height of 30 ft. The canopy cannot be missed if you are a nature lover, as it offers a fantastic view of the surrounding areas. The rich flora and fauna of the region gets justice, thanks to the views from the canopy. The canopy was actually built four years ago, but at that time it was not open to the public due to opposition. The eco-sensitivity of the place cannot be undermined.

The Kali Tiger Reserve has also resumed trekking here near the Dudhsagar waterfalls in the Kuveshi area. It is a wonderful opportunity for trekkers to explore this area, and also enjoy the canopy walk.
According to a forest official, the canopy walk structure has been lying unused for a long time. The reserve has now begun guided tours from this season, and vehicles will be allowed to take visitors to the forest check point. The check point that is located near Kuveshi, is the point from where the walk will begin.

The Kali River runs through the reserve, and hence it is known as the Kali Tiger Reserve. A place of much value in the Western Ghats, the destination is certainly worth your time.
