New York City to get its very first LGBTQ+ museum that should be ready for the public in 2024. It has been reported that the New-York Historical Society is going to expand more than 70000 ft in order to make way for the all new American LGBTQ+ Museum.
The idea to get set the museum in New York stems from the fact that New York has the most number of LGBTQ+ people in the USA. Moreover, it is one of the top destinations for American LGBTQ+ travellers.
Richard Burns, Chair, Board of Directors, The American LGBTQ+ Museum said in a statement, “We’re delighted to partner with New York’s foremost museum of history to build a new museum dedicated to an exploration and celebration of the richness and diversity of LGBTQ+ history and culture in America.”
