CDC labels countries at "very high" risk if there are more than 500 cases per 100,000 residents. It is advised to not travel to any place that has been deemed in the category, also known as Level 4. A statement by CDC says, "Fully vaccinated travelers are less likely to get and spread Covid-19. However, international travel poses additional risks, and even fully vaccinated travelers might be at increased risk for getting and possibly spreading some Covid-19 variants." A total of 80 countries feature in the CDC Level 4 for now.
Europe, famous for its Christmas markets at this time of the year, is battling a surge in COVID-19 cases. A number of famous Christmas markets and New Year's events have also been cancelled. Moreover, there is growing concern related to the Omicron variant of COVID-19.
