Vondelpark is the largest park in Amsterdam, open to both the public and the tourists. It is spread over about 120 acres of land, with a pond and an open-air theater inside. It hosts a number of performances, usually held in the months of June, July and August. The performances range from classical music, pop music, world music to dance ops including cabarets. Read less

Vondelpark is the largest park in Amsterdam, open to both the public and the tourists. It is spread over about 120 acres of land, with a pond and an open-air theater inside. It hosts a number of performances, usually held in the months of June, July and August. The performances range from classical music, pop music, world music to dance ops including cabarets. Entry to these performances is free; however, reservation is recommended owing to their immense popularity. Vondel Park also houses about four bars and restaurants including 't Baluwe Theehuis, Groot Melkhuis, Vondeling and Vondeltuin. The park is also home to a variety of birch trees, wild ducks and blue herons. It is the perfect place to have a picnic with family and friends.
