This is a canal-side museum, originally inhabited by the regent family Van Loon. Museum Van Loon is one of the very few museums in Amsterdam that have been turned from an original residence into a museum and has not been refurbished in the past century or so. It has a huge collection of paintings as well as an impressive range of furniture, silver ware and porcelain collection from different countries. Read less

This is a canal-side museum, originally inhabited by the regent family Van Loon. Museum Van Loon is one of the very few museums in Amsterdam that have been turned from an original residence into a museum and has not been refurbished in the past century or so. It has a huge collection of paintings as well as an impressive range of furniture, silver ware and porcelain collection from different countries. This is the only museum in the Netherlands where the concept unity between the canal, garden and coach are visible in its totality. Entry for those above 18 years of age costs €9 and €5 for those below 18. Student discounts are also available. iAmsterdam card holders have free entry. Museum Van Loon is open daily from 10 AM to 5 PM.
