One, of course, expects the basic baby care facilities, such as nursing rooms, diaper changing space and diaper vending machine, at well-thought-out spaces such as Changi Airport, but what I liked was that they have taken a step further and thought about the young travellers. They know shopping may not excite kids for too long and they may not be satisfied with just the food they are fed. So to keep them engaged, the airport boasts a family zone at T2 where popular children’s shows are played. I am told that parents use this facility a lot to get a breather and relax a bit while their kids enjoy their favourite shows. For the active ones, there are air-conditioned playgrounds in all the three terminals with kid-friendly stuff, including slides and climbers. My favourite pick for the kids at Changi Airport is Peranakan Woodblock Rub where children can engage in some colouring or painting activity and even take back with them their own impression of icons of Singapore. You can easily locate these blocks across the three terminals.
