Roma Jazz Festival

Still related to Jazz but of a totally different kind is the “Roma Jazz Festival”, not to be confused with the summer version.

It’s one of the most aged events on our suggestion list, started exately forty years ago in 1976. It evolved constantly changing location in several areas within the district of EUR and then next to the Olympic stadium and the “Auditorium Parco della musica”, where it is still held nowadays. Some of the concerts thought are performed within the “Casa del Jazz” during the week of the event in November.

The Roma Jazz Festival has seen artists of the highest level performing here, among which Miles Davis, B.B.King, Ray Charles and Norah Jones. So be assured that also in the next editions there will be artists worth coming for on purpose, if you are a fan of the genre.
All the aspects of the Jazz are covered from the most experimental to the most traditional one, with some editions focusing on just one of them.
The Roma Jazz Festival organization is responsible also for the realization of very popular events in the main squares of the historical center with thousands of people attending, and parallel festivals dedicated to Gospel and Blues music being held at the same time.
