Lungo il Tevere

The “Lungo il Tevere” venue is possibly the most popular of all the events that take place every summer in Rome, with many families and groups of friends attending it, it can get at times very crowded.

A small village is built along the banks of the Tiberim River, with a total of sixty stands exhibiting artisanal goods, food, drinks and anything you can think of.
Most of the people come here just for a walk on a relaxing summer evening, diving themselves into this concentrate of alternative shopping and entertainment.

In parallel with the market there are also special events and artistic exhibitions going on, as well as theater pieces and musical nights. Every day there is a different theme, so you better check the program if you are interested in a specific performing art. And if you are tired after one day visiting the city, just sit in a café and grab one of the books available for free while listening jazz music. Not a bad ending of your day!
The area is equipped usually around the middle of June and remain active until the beginning of October. The “Lungo il Tevere” event takes place in the section of the Tiberim river between “Ponte Sublicio” and “Ponte Garibaldi”, two of the bridges connecting the banks of the Eternal City.

It’s open after 7pm and there is no entrance fee to access the area.
