Spread over 320 acres, this sprawling estate state in central Delhi is the Indian president’s house. The sprawling 340-room mansion was originally built as the official residence of the viceroy of India in 1929. It also houses the beautifully-landscaped Mughal Gardens, which are open to the public between February and March. It’s also open to public every Saturday morning at 10 am, for a half-an-hour long equestrian display known as the Change of Guard ceremony. Visitors can also take a free guided tour of the Rashtrapati Bhawan’s impressive interiors by making a prior booking on its website.
