Located at the junction of Alexandra Road and Queensway, Queensway Shopping Centre was opened in 1975 and locals know it as the go-to place to get cheap sporting goods with over 150 shops. This old shopping centre in the western end of Singapore seems to be stuck in the early 90s, but it’s where you can get the best bargain for your buck, be it shoes, apparel or other gear - make sure you take time to bargain and compare prices. It’s easy to get lost in the building, everything is kinda cramped together and it has a weird polygonal shape layout. Other services that the mall is famous for: cheap glasses and eyewear, custom print services for t-shirts and jerseys which is popular among the students for its cheaper prices and quick turnover. Surprisingly, there is also a famous Laksa stall here, a rather small cramped place which serves up one of Singapore’s iconic foods. It’s not near an MRT so it might be a little harder to get to, but there are free shuttle bus services to its neighbours Ikea and Anchorpoint, which you can walk to easily after you’re done shopping at Queensway.Refrain from posting comments that are obscene, defamatory or inflammatory, and do not indulge in personal attacks, name calling or inciting hatred against any community.
