Two full days and two full nights await visitors to this awesome festival in downtown Winnipeg. This annual festival always runs in September and is truly meant to bring locals and visitors together for one giant weekend of fun! One of the biggest events here is the running race brought to you by the Running Room where participants can choose to race as many as 30 km or as little as 5 km, as a bonus there are cash prizes to be won! Fitness is a big part of this festival and free demonstrations take place throughout the main park all weekend long and include Zumba, kick boxing, Yoga and more. Make sure you come hungry to this festival as Food Truck Wars takes twice a day with over 30 food trucks competing for a shot at winning best in class. Try as many as you can and make sure to vote for a winner. This is a great festival to bring the kids to as well as there is a whole kid only area where festival goers can find face painting, bouncy castles, sandboxes, arts and crafts, games and more. Don’t miss the giant movie night in the park and the show on Broadway street complete with fire performers, LED lights and candles that illuminate the night.Refrain from posting comments that are obscene, defamatory or inflammatory, and do not indulge in personal attacks, name calling or inciting hatred against any community.
