The number of tourist arrivals in Kochi is about to increase considerably as the city is getting ready to host as many as three travel marts in the year 2018. The number of tourist arrivals in Kochi is about to increase considerably as the city is getting ready to host as many as three travel marts in the year 2018. What is believed to be the year that will boost tourism in this town in Kerala, the city this year, will be host to the India International Travel Mart, Middle-East Travel Mart and Kerala Travel Mart.
India International Travel Mart (IITM) will be held in Kochi which will be a three-day travel mart scheduled to take place at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Kadavanthra from January 11 to 13. A popular annual event, IITM is known for hosting attractive travel trade exhibitions and at the same time act as an effective platform for business-to-business and business-to-client interactions.

One of the major participants of the IITM has pointed out that Kochi has been undergoing a positive transformation in the past couple of years with the city becoming a more attractive place for travellers and businessmen as well. Besides, he also pointed out that the city also has an increased number of flights connecting it to the other parts of the country.
This year, the IITM will be reportedly home to 125 stalls, including international participants from the United Arab Emirates, Nepal, Sri Lanka and more.
