This park has plenty to boast about, including some of the oldest trees in the province of Manitoba as well as the longest running outdoor theatre in Canada, named the Rainbow Stage. Visiting Kildonan Park on a nice Winnipeg day is perfect for visitors of all ages, whether you have kids that need some exercise or you simply want to embrace nature. One of the best features in the park for kids is the water play area that has over 21 water play features along with a shallow wading pool. For those older kids, there is a large pool that features two awesome waterslides and a beach entry, as well as numerous diving boards. The Witches Hut is popular among both kids and adults and is based around the story of Hansel and Gretel. Throughout the year the hut features readings of that particular tale as well as other fairy tales. Numerous trails run through the park and visitors will enjoy feeding the ducks at the pond, using the provided barbeques and picnic tables. If you happen to visit in the wintertime you can enjoy the pond that is turned into a skating rink and the two Toboggan Hills.
