Singapore's cityside jungle trail
Word to the wise: The entire trail can be covered in 2.5 hrs at a steady walking pace; much faster if you're keen to jog it.
A popular itinerary is to start at Kent Ridge Park and take the 'canopy walk' to Hort Park. Then cross the 'Alexandra arch' to wander among the treetops on the 'forest walk'. Keep going until you hit 'Henderson waves'—time your journey to arrive here around sunset; you'll get great photos at this 36-metre-high vantage point. From there you can take a cable car to Sentosa to spend an evening on the beach, or simply stroll down to VivoCity for a meal at one of the mall's many Harbourfront restaurants.
