What is supposed to be the shopping paradise of the island of Phuket, Central Festival has over a hundred outlets that sell everything from clothing and accessories, books and electronics, office supplies and toys to edibles and souvenirs. This hub is located a little outside of the town centre and is so well-equipped that you could spend an entire day in its massive four-floor premises. Apart from the shopping gallery, the department store and the supermarket zones, there is a SFX multiplex with 6 screens and an enormous food court that serves fast food and Asian staples. The brands inside this mega mall range from luxury names like Chanel, Estee Lauder, Armani, DKNY, Calvin Klein and Diesel to more affordable labels like Mango, Zara, Guess and Esprit. The ground floor plays host to regular events like auto shows and also has frequent sales.Central Festival gets incredibly crowded during the weekends and mostly witnesses a footfall of window shoppers. A lot of tourists visit merely for the Japanese restaurant on the ground floor, while some come for the air-conditioning. If you are here to shop, don’t forget to collect your VAT Refund Coupon from the Tax Invoice Desk.
