Selfie Station is born for Instagram lovers
It was in June 2020 when Iowa gave birth to Selfie Station, a kind of interactive selfie museum where 27 Instagram rooms welcome visitors to click Insta-worthy pictures.
The owner Ashley Wilkerson wanted to give Instagram addicts and photography lovers an environment to take not just low resolution photos for their social media feeds, but also a platform to click professionally sound pictures. Visitors can also opt to rope in a professional photographer at $100 per hour to take better pictures. Selfie Station also has a lighting fixture to hold your phone if you want to be your own photographer.
Safety rules
Reportedly, the room and equipment are frequently sanitised inside the spaces. However, the owners and staff do not ask visitors to wear masks compulsorily. So, visitors have to walk in at their own risk.
How to visit?
Booking to be done online to reserve a slot
Visiting fee for Weekdays $18 & weekends $22 (adults); $15 for children
Visitors are allowed to carry their own DSLR cameras.
Mark it in your itinerary for the good times when it is safe to roam free again. Another one for your bucket list.
