The finest Flemish art
Word to the wise: The nearby Brussels' Museum of Modern Art, housed in the same complex, is currently closed.
There are many famous names among the museum's roster of artists, with works by Bruegel, Rubens and Van Dyck key aspects of the collection. Less well known but especially worth seeking out are the dramatic, intricate paintings of early Flemish painters Rogier Van Der Weyden and Robert Campin, whose work is a reminder of the days when the Flanders region was possibly the wealthiest in all Europe.
