Campo Margherita

Campo Santa Margherita is one of the most atmospheric squares in Venice, popular with local people and students. The campo is encircled by houses from the 14th and 15th century and has a lot to offer. There are some cute shops and art galleries as well as many restaurants, bars and ice cream shops, many with nice outdoor seating areas; this square is a great place to relax, soak up the sun and people watch.
In the evening, Campo Santa Margherita is the prime nightlife area in Venice for students as the prices here are quite affordable by Venetian standards and many of the venues are open until 2 AM. Pizzas, beers, cocktails and everything else can easily be enjoyed here for less than 7 EUR, and Friday and Saturday nights are the best times for partying.
